Becky Curl is a freelance wig and make-up artisan and writer from Chicago and a graduate of The Conservatory of Theatre Arts at Webster University in St. Louis.  She received her BFA in Wig and Make-Up Design, as well as an English minor, and graduated summa cum laude with departmental honors in May 2014. Becky has had several wig and make-up and wardrobe internships with esteemed theatres, including Cirque du Soleil, Lookingglass Theatre, Chicago Shakespeare Theater, and the MUNY. Becky was also the former manager of Kryolan City Chicago.

 

 Currently, she is an adjunct faculty member at The Theatre School at DePaul University and at the Chicago College of Performing Arts at Roosevelt University. She teaches wig and make-up design courses.

Becky has written extensively for Thought Catalog. Her writing has also been published on SheRoseRevolution, To Write Love On Her Arms, Peaceful Dumpling, New Worker Magazine, theMighty, and Chicago Stage Standard. 

She is currently pursuing her MFA in Creative Writing at Roosevelt University.
